At the recent installation of Lodge Discovery No 8737 EC, which meets at Port Vila, Vanuatu, the Scottish Flare and support was in the person of Bro Tony Mansfield of Lodge St John Kilwinning 662. The 'Travelling Gavel' was instituted in Auckland some years ago by the freemasons of the New Zealand Constitution to encourage visiting amongst their lodges. In more recent times, the Travelling Gavel has been enjoying the warmth and conviviality of the Scottish Constitution. On 27 Jul 26, a fine body of Scottish freemasons from Lodge Ponsonby No.708, led by one of their several pipers, swaggered into St Andrew Lodge No.418, resulting in the Travelling Gavel changing hands
