Our Core Values:

Integrity
Integrity is one of the core values that define a Scottish Freemason. It means acting with honesty, ethics and accountability in all aspects of life. A Scottish Freemason is expected to preserve the secrets and traditions of the Craft, as well as respect the opinions and personalities of his fellow brothers. He should also conduct himself in a way that reflects well on the organization and its principles. Integrity is not only a personal virtue but also a social responsibility. A Scottish Freemason should contribute to the welfare of his community and society through charitable acts and service. Integrity is what makes a Scottish Freemason a man of honour and trust.
Friendship
Friendship is another core value that defines a Scottish Freemason. It means forming and maintaining bonds of affection and mutual support with fellow brothers and other people in the community. A Scottish Freemason is expected to join a lodge where he can meet and interact with like-minded men who share the same values and principles. He should also extend his friendship beyond the lodge through mutual connections and Masonic functions. Friendship is not only a source of pleasure and comfort but also a way of learning and growing. A Scottish Freemason should engage in friendly debates and discussions on topics of general interest, as well as seek out new and true friends who can enrich his life. Friendship is what makes a Scottish Freemason a man of sociability and harmony.
Respect
Respect is another core value that defines a Scottish Freemason. It means treating others with dignity, courtesy and tolerance, regardless of their background, beliefs or opinions. A Scottish Freemason is expected to respect the teachings of the Craft and the authority of the Grand Lodge, as well as the views and personalities of his fellow brothers. He should also respect the diversity and freedom of all people, and refrain from imposing his own views or prejudices on others. Respect is not only a mark of civility, but also a source of harmony and peace. A Scottish Freemason should seek to promote understanding and cooperation among different groups and individuals and avoid conflict and discord. Respect is what makes a Scottish Freemason a man of wisdom and enlightenment.
Charity
Charity is the final core value that defines a Scottish Freemason. It means showing compassion and generosity to those in need, as well as supporting worthy causes that benefit society. A Scottish Freemason is expected to act charitably wherever possible in life, whether it is by caring for his family and friends, helping his neighbours and community, or donating his time and money to charitable organisations. Charity is not only a duty but also a joy. A Scottish Freemason should find satisfaction and happiness in giving and sharing. Charity is what makes a Scottish Freemason a man of benevolence and kindness.
