A memorial service was held Saturday 20th June 2026.
Malcolm Kriehn Memorial service.
From Friday 19th June, through to the service on Saturday 20th, Malcolm’s family and friends toiled to create an impressive service at Grey St both in the foyer plus the temple and refectory . Certainly up to and exceeding Malcom’s typical high standards
I was impressed with the huge number of Lodge Ponsonby brethren filling the South from east to west - thank you all for the respect you shared for Malcolm. The lodge room was full
The refectory was absolutely five star.
The cherry on the top was our wonderful piper ( Bro David Allan which certainly made the day (and something both he and Euan can be very proud of) .
The sound of the bugle was also a highlight
PS the Kriehn family should be commended for doing a complete vacuum and clean upstairs and downstairs even actually including bleaching all of our less than exciting cups and crockery
